60 books 😅 like I knew this reading year was not going to be your best in terms of average rating, but damn do I respect that you trudged through 60 BOOKS and managed to not die of a slump. Butcher & Blackbird alone put me in a month long grave, personally. 😮‍💨

Idea for a follow-up - 'Books like my least favourite books that I'm going to like' - pick books that have aspects of books you didn't like but in a different genre or different author (so a shark survival story but zero romance, or a ghost dinosaur thriller but with plot, or thrillers by general fiction writers, etc)

I never DNF books because I am one of those people who has to finish anything they start no matter how long it takes but I DNF'd Bride AND Butcher and Blackbird! I just could NOT with those two books. LOL Happy New Year!

Hiii new viewer, I’ve been binging your videos!!

I feel like we completely align on romance and why a lot of these contemporary/fantasy romances fall flat, so if you’re open to trying something new next year I would highly rec historical romance 😁 The buildup/tension is excellent and they’re not boring Wolf Hall style lol the historical background just exists for the shenanigans. The writing overall is a LOT better in HR, many of the authors have beautiful prose.

If you wanna give any a try - Ravishing the Heiress by Sherry Thomas (marriage of convenience friends to lovers with the most wonderful slow burn), What I Did for a Duke by Julie Anne Long, and A Lady Awakened by Ceclis Grant are all top tier books with great writing. And ignore the silly titles hahaah
