That story never sat well with me even as a kid. It’s funny, once we get older and are able to break down these type of things, we remember that weird inner feeling that something was wrong with certain story’s, or rhymes, or even just history. And we find out that feeling we had, but didn’t really know why, was right the whole time, trying to tell us. I wish I could think of something worse then someone who preys on a childs innocents. There's an even deeper level to the pied piper. Yes, they should have paid the piper, but really, they shouldn't have hired the old necromancer at all. R Kelly used to call himself the Pied Piper and its weird that he was later accused of holding teenaged girls in cages. I also see this reference used a lot in the music industry and if you really think about it music does move children towards certain behaviors. Pan also used music and seduction to lure his victims into whatever he wanted them to do. I think music is alive and can create culture and behavior. If it can shape water it can shape us.

Another channel Thoughty2 just di this same subject but was far more fact-driven historically and I was thinking ok I know all this in more detail but I love your channel it's cool. Then at the last minute, you made the most compelling argument. The other video named every theory there's like 5 he mentioned in historical detail but you truly made the best argument. That was a time when people still would do that. It is actually the most likely and you said that parents wouldn't just give up unless they gave up their kids which is the strongest most compelling argument of all. That's why I am more impressed than ever. I saw the title and thought I just saw this like 4 days ago you were truly insightful. Academically speaking you made the best argument for your theory. I really enjoy it when I see other people put things together in this way. I also am a student of history and I have studied the various pantheons of the different civilizations through the ages all the way down to medieval Europe and I can tell you for a fact that they have simply been conflated, or adapted to suit the civilization or the tastes of the people and the time periods.

For instance many of the ancient Babylonian and Sumerian deities have simply changed names and forma, and in some cases even gender however there is always interesting Lee enough a symbol or a token that seems to remain in the possession of that particular deity. The first place I noticed this was in the depiction of the Babylonian deity Marduk holding his lightning daggers which appeared to be some sort of device with three prongs on one end and three prongs on the other.

Advanced technology perhaps? I noticed something similar down through the Hellenistic. And into the Roman empire and I also noticed similar images and devices in the South American Mayans and Aztec cultures. You could’ve knocked me over with a feather. These are the storm deities or lightning gods of the various civilizations. I have a hunch that they are all the same entity. So yes this is fascinating stuff and Mr. Woodward has delivered again!

I think throughout history almost all of the “gods and goddesses “are basically the same entities or beings continuously reinventing themselves down through history. This is creepy to be sure. So are these allegories or are they actually living entities? Anything that takes away the children has got to be bad. If we put ourselves in the shoes of the people that lived back in with our knowledge of technology now, I wonder what we would have seen that the people back down did not.

I agree that there may have been a ritual involved and they used a cover story because they were frightened of being caught. Interesting how history is so checkered.... then once the occult spin doctors do their magic they can turn the bad guys into good guys and vice versa and no one is the wiser. We really need to wake up and become wiser. Our future depends upon it.

There are some other really excellent channels that dive into things like this just like Jay Woodward does. I can think of at least two that I would recommend anybody looking into where popular stories and myths came from. I think it is safe to say that there are more than enough tales and stories and legends to convince me that the evil walk among us.

A lot of popular myths and creations such as werewolves, demons, vampires, etc. not to mention modern-day so-called superheroes are really in fact begins with powers that we either don’t understand or technology and the ability to access things that we cannot. The bottom line is they are not Human. They certainly are not children of the light. It’s been prophesied that in the end times which we are now entering, things will become like they were in the day of Noah. I would say that is true more and more every day.
