Finally...years ago I paid extra for Business class seating and priority boarding. A week before my flight, the airline changed planes to a model that had no business class seats. NO refund. Some BS! Glad to see this is changing!

TSA has nothing to do with it. The refunded fares rules are from the DOT.

TSA checks your bags, regulations are imposed by the Department of Transportation. Someone needs to QC these segments for accuracy.

Gate shaming is a AWESOME WAY to cut down on zone cheaters.

AirBnB had a large part in the reason that long term rent and real estate prices went through the roof.

What airlines should be doing is making sure people are not using the overhead bins that are not over there seats

Nothing more irritating than when you get to your seat and there’s already a luggage on your seats overhead bin

When I worked at the airport I loved when people would say ‘do you know who I am’ and I doubt this was part of AA’s training but more often than not an AA employee would be the one getting on the PA and say ‘attention in the gate area (etc), dies anyone know who this traveler is? They seem to be unsure of they’re unsure of their identity and asking us.”

They need to crackdown on gate lice who use ofher people's children as an excuse to board early. For example, i recently went to mexico. On the return flight, a group of 12 extended family members boarded the plane because one person had a 6 month old baby. The onky people who need to board early in that situation were the mom and the dad.

DC has a similiar airbnb/ short term rental rule. If the property is your primary residence, you can rent part of it (like a bedroom) as much as you want, even while you’re living there. However, if you’re renting the entire home (meaning you’re not living there during the rental), there are stricter limits: generally, you’re allowed to do this for up to 90 days per year.

Re: flight refunds, important note is that if you opt to take a later flight when your original one is delayed or cancelled, you don't get the refund. It's either/or, not both.

Glad to hear about the short-term accommodation crackdowns. Too many rich owners buying up perfectly acceptable rental properties and converting them to Airbnb for tourists instead of apartments for residents.

I was recently in MIA and I saw a solution to people crowding the gate. Which annoys me even more than jumping the line.

I believe it was Aeromexico, they had roped off queues for each boarding group! 😮 It was amazing! No one was being rude and blocking the gate from others to board at their group numbers.

Why can't ALL airlines do that!?
