Im an American, I got my Full UK DL 2 years ago, roundabouts are very easy once you get use to them, spiral roundabouts are abit more difficult, overall driving in the UK is easier because the other drivers are more courteous, and you have to be courteous too

Excellent. I'm British, but unlike some videos, you have been informative but not Judgemental. Well done.

Roads are very narrow in most towns so you'll develop spacial awareness skills when traffic's coming from the opposite direction. It all takes time, welcome to the UK

I've only just come across your channel and so I would like to say, even though you've been here for a while now, welcome to the UK. I hope you like it.

Texan here! I’m living in England as well 😌 I moved here before Rona decided to close everything down. My husband is British. I am taking my official driving test next month to have a full license.

When people start driving in the UK I always recommend they take a one or two hour driving lesson, including if they hire a car straight away. It can help with confidence by easing you in gently and 'holding your hand' first time out. Luckily you were on really quiet roundabouts when you were filming. Practice makes perfect. It could help if you take a look at Ashley Neal's channel. This is not a criticism by the way. When I hadn't driven for a couple of years I took a two hour lesson just to get me back into the way of it, especially as I had my kids in the car.
I really hope you are enjoying living in the UK and look forward to seeing other videos. Stay safe and healthy!

This is like a 1970's public information film... only better! :) (Yes I am that old)

Roundabouts are great. If we didn't have them, there would be traffic lights everywhere. Roundabouts keep traffic flowing.

Go to Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire and experience the magic roundabout. 7 mini roundabouts around a large one in the middle

You want to try the single track roads with high verges round Devon and Cornwall. They’re fun!

Sorry about all the narrow roads but most were created hundreds (if not thousands) of years before cars were even thought of.

I love watching these. It’s a delight to see you settle in and enjoy life in the UK.

As well as our winding lanes criss-crossing the countryside, we also have an extensive public footpath network, usually heading for churches and pubs! I don't know if you have had a chance to explore any of these yet. Our Ordnance Survey maps show them as dashed lines.

My experience of Americans driving in the UK is somewhat coloured by the daily near-death moments working as a signalman at Lakenheath.
Red lights mean "stop", folks, not cross to the wrong side of the road, speed up, and try to send the poor old boy pushing the level crossing gates into the next county!

The Rolling English Road
By G. K. Chesterton
Before the Roman came to Rye or out to Severn strode,
The rolling English drunkard made the rolling English road.
A reeling road, a rolling road, that rambles round the shire,
And after him the parson ran, the sexton and the squire;
A merry road, a mazy road, and such as we did tread
The night we went to Birmingham by way of Beachy Head.

I knew no harm of Bonaparte and plenty of the Squire,
And for to fight the Frenchman I did not much desire;
But I did bash their baggonets because they came arrayed
To straighten out the crooked road an English drunkard made,
Where you and I went down the lane with ale-mugs in our hands,
The night we went to Glastonbury by way of Goodwin Sands.

His sins they were forgiven him; or why do flowers run
Behind him; and the hedges all strengthening in the sun?
The wild thing went from left to right and knew not which was which,
But the wild rose was above him when they found him in the ditch.
God pardon us, nor harden us; we did not see so clear
The night we went to Bannockburn by way of Brighton Pier.

My friends, we will not go again or ape an ancient rage,
Or stretch the folly of our youth to be the shame of age,
But walk with clearer eyes and ears this path that wandereth,
And see undrugged in evening light the decent inn of death;
For there is good news yet to hear and fine things to be seen,
Before we go to Paradise by way of Kensal Green.

Well done on mastering the roundabouts, and welcome to the UK from 'down the road' in Hastings
