I have a 2017 Ram 6.4 Hemi with 280, xxx miles on it. I change the oil at 8, 000, and transmission fluid and filter, also differential oil at 100, 000. I put new front wheel bearings on at 273, 000 miles.A battery at 186, 000 miles. I have towed between 8- 15, 000 lbs for about half of those miles. Best truck I've ever owned and I've owned each of the big 3. RAM is all I'll buy from now on. No check engine lights, alignments, or any other parts than the bearings.$375 in parts in 280, 000 "mostly highway" miles. Brakes are still around 70% Doesn't leak a drop of anything.... Yet

Buy your car battery from costco if you live in california They started selling interstate batteries. Better pricing than autozone or oreily.

I agree with your evaluation of the Ram pickup. Especially the inordinate amount of electronic problems. A neighbor of mine just had to fight with the dealer about a brand new 2018 Ram dually pickup that would just quit running and had to be towed to the dealership several times. He ended up getting rid of it with the Lemon Law. I live in a pickup dominated area in Wyoming and all the Ram owners complain of electronic problems.

Best cars are really if you get a mint well looked after 2000-2008 they are modern construction but without the overuse of electronics inside that can be hell to repair. That’s my experience.

It's amazing how some people never miss one of Scotty's videos to hate on them! Some people just love to hate on things. It makes them feel better about themselves.

I tried to help a friend buy a second car over the weekend. Steered him towards a clean 2009 Camry with 80k but he preferred GM products and was going to buy a Pontiac G6 with 90k. Well, at the end of the day, he is now a proud owner of a 2009 Kia. Seems we both lost.

I was at the Honda dealer on Saturday and they literally had customers waiting for an available sales person. People love cars.
I got a $39.95 oil chg with a free car wash and free refreshments!

A few years ago I bought some Michelin silicone tires from Costco. The tread rubber started cracking and crumbling. I took them back to Costco, and they gave me prorated credit on new set of tires.

A mile tire would have such a hard rubber that it wouldn't give much grip and would be dangerous. Tires are always a compromise- you can't have the best of everything in a tire.
