I’m surprised by the comments saying the guy in the last story, Alex, was just a troll and that the situation wasn’t really scary. To me, it was the scariest one.

Like what would his motivation be? Most people troll online to avoid direct confrontation. They get their reactions and move along, but don’t want to deal with it in person. Alex, who seems perfectly normal, works a job, and otherwise seems to act responsibly, now starts randomly knocking on his roommate’s door in the middle of the night and then floors it back to his room and pretends to sleep. Then the next day he just denies it. He wasn’t even having problems with his roommate, so this behavior doesn’t seem like it has a direct catalyst. It seems to be completely unprovoked. What scares me is trying to figure out why doing this would give Alex satisfaction. All he’s doing is creating tension and suspicion in his living space. And then OP moves and doesn’t tell Alex where his new place is, but Alex just shows up in the middle of the night, knocking on his window now? *That’s terrifying.*

His behavior is escalating. Before, Alex wouldn’t let himself be seen and just denied doing it when confronted, but now he’s 100% letting OP know that he’s done this the whole time (even though that’s obvious, he still never admitted it before) and that he either followed OP or used a website that provides address information. I don’t know that those sites would’ve been updated fast enough for Alex to have obtained the information that way. He obviously didn’t sleep walk to this place miles away, so he was doing it intentionally the whole time. The guy isn’t just a troll. He’s intentionally feeding off of and enjoying the chaos, fear, and confusion he’s creating. The most disturbing situation is when someone does things like this for no apparent reason. They’re just unhinged and wildly unpredictable. Alex needs to get help
