Whataburger has different requirements.
Being at least 16 years old and alive is different than trying to hire say a skilled trade worker.
However the burger place is willing to train workers from scratch, doesn’t care too much about criminal records, and likely has a referral bonus system in place.

I work at a Whataburger in the DFW area. I’ve only worked there for one month and my starting pay was 13.5 an hour my friend who put me on get paid 12 an hour, and he’s worked there for 6 months. The GM denied him on 2 separate occasions. And so far I’ve had 3 people try to fight me saw a mentally retired 50 year old co worker beating his meat in da bathroom and they dint fire him

They actually pay more than most of the big guys hourly. When i was a licensed customer service team member at a state farm office, i made less than the people flipping burgers at the McDonalds next door. Agents can't hire people- because they refuse to pay them more than McDonalds will. Why would do a more difficult job, for less money?

How do you know exactly how many people they hired??? Who are you? And what, so they hire a lot of part time people so there don’t have to pay benefits? What is your angle here
