Ever felt so thirsty that you are wondering if this is a sign that something is wrong?
Have you ever noticed an abnormal drop of your body weight? Feeling weak and lethargic?

Perhaps the cause of all these symptoms and more is Dehydration. Dehydration is nothing minor to play with and if you don’t pay attention, it may even threaten your life in extreme cases. In this video we will discuss the common dehydration symptoms and signs.

Dehydration basically occurs when you lose an excess number of water and fluids from your system. There are many things that may cause this.
One cause is intense workout which expels much of your body’s fluids through sweat. If fluids are not replaced by drinking water, you can become dehydrated.

Another common cause that leads to dehydration is when you are exposed to hot environments. Heat causes in this case a rise in internal temperature and your body has no other option that to sweat to compensate for the heat, which of courses expels liquids out of your system.
Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea are also conditions that may cause dehydration and you are making matters worse if you fail to drink water when while nauseous.

Many will ask at this point--how do I know if I’m dehydrated?
Apart from obviously feeling thirsty, you may experience many different symptoms that show that you are not properly hydrated.
A common symptom is memory lapses. Since our brains are made up from 90% water, they are the first organ to show signs of dehydration which will come in the form of memory lapses, headaches and possible dizziness.

Another sign of dehydration is if you pee in an infrequent basis or if your pee has a strange color. Yes, it may sound disgusting but its actual color actually gives you a hint on the status of urine and water in your system. If it’s a pale orange or brown color instead of pale yellow, it probably means that you are dehydrates beyond normal levels.

Performance-wise, you may notice that you really struggle to make it through the gym or a sport game. Our bodies need water to oxygenate the blood and if oxygen levels fall, our body’s performance and energy will simply suffer.

Finally, take a look at your skin’s condition. Since our skin is the largest external organ connected to internal circulation of liquids and nutrients, anything we put or don’t put in our systems will have a great impact on how our skin looks. If you have noticed that your skin looks dry, rough, patchy, or less stretchy than before, dehydration might be among the top causes.

So how do you keep dehydration at bay? By ingesting a good portion of fruits veggies with a high water content and low calorie drinks and plain water without any sugars and fat. Dry and processed junk food as well as alcohol are also a big no-no as they exaggerate dehydration issues and make your system expel liquids faster.

Wow this has been such a learning process the past 14 hours for me. When they say your body is a temple.. YOUR BODY IS A TEMPLE! I’m not playing around with this ever again. Literally have been struggling just trying to stay conscious and not pass out the past 14 hours, drinking water bottle after water bottle, couple Gatorade’s mixed in for electrolytes, some coconut water, and now finally trying to nibble on fruits that I feel like I can keep down. Thankfully got some sleep as well, but man never again will I neglect my body like that again. Hope everyone else is feeling some sort of relief by now.

I’m pretty sure I experienced an minor case of dehydration, I am slowly recovering but I hadn’t drank anything for at least 3 days. I’m also only 15. I felt very cold, and wasn’t able to eat dinner.

Hi thanks for the video, I am actually 7 weeks pregnant and I feel like it’s normal for me to feel dizzy and vomiting all the time. I wasn’t normal and I found out that also not drinking plenty water in a day make me feel vomit and dizzy. I hate drinking water now on my first trimester. But I watch this video thank you I will try hope it will worked even I don’t like drinking water much I’ll do it just to feel healthy even I’m pregnant. Thanks again.

When I drink the amount one is supposed to drink of water I'm constantly need to pee. This is extremely bothersome at work or out in town always on the look out for bathrooms.

Well here I have dry skin my mouth is sticky and dry my lips are dry I don’t pee a lot and don’t have pale yellow pee, I get headaches barely but soooo much dizzyness my body feels exhausted I don’t really drink so much water just half a cup like the ending of a cup whenever I drink the ending of a full water cup I stop being thirsty I get rapid heart beats sometimes, I do have bad breath..even tho I literally brush my teeth good and I don’t sweat at all I don’t have the energy to do stuff and I barely pee I only pee in the mornings sometimes I don’t at all

My lips are always dry but I always drink water like I can down a whole smart water in 10 seconds I stg and my lips still always get dry and people that don’t know me tell me i need to drink more water

When I pee it’s hot, when I drink enough water, it’s normal, I usually only have 1 or 2 cups of water, am I dehydrated?
