4" putty knife - less messy. Mix with the putty knife and set the knife aside - there will always be some unmixed filler on whatever you used to mix the filler. If you are going to mix on glass (I do) use a piece of safety glass - the stuff that is 2 sheets of glass with plastic in the middle.

If you taste it and you can't taste the blueberry flavor yet, put some more hardener in it and mix it again, then taste it again. ;)

I use a 1 foot by 1 foot mirror tile as a mixing board. I've used the same tile for years. Being glass, it cleans up a doddle, absorbs nothing, is a nice size & just works damn fine.

A model maker at an aerospace company I worked at told me the best way to remember the ratio of for Bondo to hardener is same as "Golf ball to pea" Has worked beautifully.

First guy I looked at a tutorial from said a 3 inch line of hardener for a three inch wide dollop of bonds! Glad I always get a second opinion! I feel like you know better than the other guy🤣 otherwise why such a tiny tube of hardener vs the rest. Thanks buddy!👍🏽

You maybe should have mentioned that while there is a recommended amount to add the amount you add has an effect on the cure time. I always dispense considering the temperature and humidity.
