A MASSIVE Undocumented Change For Warlocks in 9.0.5! A Buff To Demonology, Destro And Affliction!

I stumbled upon this massive undocumented change towards the end of stream last night on PTR and well...the rich are getting richer.

I think this will be pretty big with the other buffs for demo - for PvP. Balespiders buff with decimating bolt and one more reason to run FTS. Could be some crazy PvP burst 🤔

It seems like Demo is getting a lot of bang for the changes. I mostly play destro. Affliction is just so difficult for me to keep pace on screen with multiple mobs so I don't miss pandemic refreshes and prevent falloff of dots. In my raid group, me and a Demo warlock are neck to neck in a few fights. He has a lot of trouble with Denathrious because the demons won't go through the mirrors for some reason. I don't have any demonology lego's or really any experience to speak about on the builds. It does look fun though.

I think this changes beats A LITTLE BIT the vilefiend talent since it was a picked for buffing tyrant... So now m+ build will have good aoe and good single... interesting

It is also to keep in mind that vilefiend consume 1 soul shard have a casting time and consume a global.
So in my opinion fts is better from now onwards

If this goes live its a huge buff to M+ Demo, since you will be able to play big dog in m+ without really losing that huge burst ST damage that is your real niche for the group

yeah i was thinking about going with eradication in 9.0.2 but realized it didnt buff it, so then went back to flashover. in most situations my immolation aura does 14-20% of my dps since im using a 200 infernal brand conduit with wilfred's and RoC

If this stays, I will be super curious to see how much closer it brings the big dogs M+ build to the single target build. Especially with the 9.0.5 legendary changes.

These Demonology changes are sick. Sure it might not be super awesome for the single target build but it really gives you more value from your tyrant using the dog build, which I personally use when playing demo on fortified weeks.

the pet scaling to haunt/SE is also indirectly a nerf to GoSac and dark caller

Hope this is blizz finally giving 'locks some love and not a bug! Nice to see some actual single target dps buffs, making shadows embrace slightly more viable for the pain that it is!
