Charlie Berens is back with another of edition of Midwest Nice. Charlie jumps his neighbors car, drives himself to the hospital for stitches and gets caught on a Nest camera and Ring doorbell while delivering food for EatStreet.

I snowblow my older neighbors driveway whenever it snows more than a couple of inches. Even though I've insisted that I DO NOT need anything for it, so far I've ended up with cookies, 1/2 a blueberry pie and an afghan!lol! Seriously...it's NOT that big of a deal, it's 10 min worth of work....

Shortly after I moved to New Orleans from Green Bay (25 years ago) I tried to allow an elderly gentleman to enter an elevator before me (respect your elders) but he insisted I go first (ladies first). We stood there so long insisting the other enter first we missed the elevator all together & had to wait for the next one. When it came back we linked arms and walked in together laughing.

My grandparents were the only Mormons in their tiny Wisconsin town. They never spoke about their religion to anyone. And everyone was ALWAYS Midwest nice to them. When Grandma died a few years ago, many came to her funeral to pay their respects and didn’t mind the references to their religion. I was so impressed with the level of Midwest Nice my grandparents (and our family) experienced. ♥️

Oh my gosh this is so True!
I just moved way up midwest, and when my cab pulled up to my house a bunch of neighbors were outside. Everybody knew each other, and ends up my furniture wasn't going to arrive for 2 more weeks! The cab lady loaned me an air mattress, blankets and pillow, the guy across the street loaned me a card table and 2 chairs, the kids nextdoor shoveled my driveway and made snow angeles on my front lawn, and I have a problem crossing the street because everybody stops for pedestrians, I was confused.
