So happy I found your channel today while looking for Dianthus cleanup. I love finding gardening channels in my zone. In in Sanford ME. I used to live in zone 4 in Berlin. I've been gardening for years also but retired in 2020 and we moved to Maine where my gardening really took off. I planted lots of favorites but also some new things like Dianthus. I was cleaning up yesterday and saw some green coming up on the ends of pretty dead looking stems on the Dianthus. Your video was helpful. Have a great spring!

Thanks so much for this video. I just started growing dianthus and was heartbroken to see how brown they were this spring. I somehow thought they were evergreen. Going out today to cut mine back. Do you divide your plants? If so, when and how?
