i am missing the marker on the bevel angle at back of saw, how can I substitute anything

I’m using a DeWalt DWS 779 sliding compound miter, and I experimented making a 30 degree bevel cut without remembering to slide the fence out of the way! Now my fence has a nice clean 30 degree angle with aluminum shavings all over the place. Won’t do that again😢

Whilst attempting to make a 25 degree bevel, tilted the saw to the 25 degree marking; something is off, because the bevel is not 25 degrees. Any good way to check this ?

i am. new at woodworking, just a hobby....i am making some Christmas lamp posts ..with a pyramid roof 4 sides equal base ...but the angles bevel, ,are giving me a hard time, is there a formula to calculate,
1-base vs sides vs bevel ...some of my pyramids were to flat another to pointy, other look good from the outside but from underneath there were 4 gaps ....can you help me please., it must be a formula a regular person can use..😅 thanks

What a waste of time! That I know how to do. What I wanted to know was how to make a bevel cut in the opposite direction that matches, do I flip the board over, turn it? How do I get there from here....???? Like I said a waste of time...
