Thanks. I'll probably add this too my 9v busbord. I have on my diy synthesizer so it can use pedals safely and not have to worry about plugging it in the wrong Jack's. I have +9 postive center/+9v negative center outputs too dc Jack's for pedals/circuit bent toys. Great video I know they use a similar diode setup for some eurorack modules for reverse protection. Never thought to use it to protect pedals. Great video.

You can get an ideal diode IC which uses mosfets to make the voltage drop almost 0, much better than even a schottky.

I use a Voodoo lab mondo brick which has isolated ports and daisy chain 5 pedals that are all 9V, but they vary from center positive and negative polarities.

I’ve heard that whatever the case is for the pedal, if plugged into an isolated power source, it’ll work fine.

But since I have 5 pedals with different polarities all going to the same 9V isolated port, is that going to be a problem?

A Schottky diode has only 0, 2V of voltage drop, much better than the usual 0, 7V from the 1N4148

Can you make a circuit that reverses the polarity every 0.5 seconds?
