Key quotes from this reflection from St. Alphonsus sermons:

"There can be no doubt, that, enlightened by the Holy Ghost in a far higher degree than all the Prophets, she, far better than they, understood the predictions recorded by them in the sacred Scriptures concerning the Messiah"

"do not pity me only for the hour in which I beheld my dear Jesus expiring before my eyes; for the Sword of Sorrow predicted by Simeon pierced my soul during my whole life. When I was giving suck to my Son, when I was warming Him in my arms, I already foresaw the bitter death that awaited Him. Consider, then, what long and bitter sorrows I must have endured."

Thank you so much for your evangelization, love and clarity of Our Blessed Virgin Mary. “Her martyrdom lasted her whole life”.. At the moment of her meeting with Simeon. What a beautiful insight and so full of love.

Praise God for your vacation and ministries, reminding us to honor and reach out to Holy Mother. It always breaks my heart thinking of how Mother Mary obeyed, sacrificed, suffered her whole life since accepted the Lord's mission.

This is so true about Mother’s sorrows! During the time my daughter was suffering with Crohn’s and laying in the hospital bed, starved of food, and receiving blood transfusions, Mother Mary came to me. I was praying the Sorrowful Mysteries, and I felt Mother’s suffering. What I was experiencing was being joined to her suffering as well as the suffering of her Son. This gave me strength to get through this suffering that my little 9 year old daughter was experiencing. We suffered together and grew closer to Jesus through it all. My little girl received a miracle of healing but most of all, we received great graces through this suffering to know Our Lord and His love more deeply. This all happened during Lent and the entire 40 days. We spent Easter in the hospital and the doctor would not allow my daughter to have the host, but Father came out to bless her and pray with us. Pray for our Church leaders to open the churches and give the Eucharist to all God’s people. It is the food that sustains us in such difficulties. Pray my friends, PRAY !

I have been spending much time in The Passion of Our Lord and during this time have been experiencing the truth about Mary's Co redemptive suffering. Jesus, I cannot begin to fathom His suffering. Even the smallest part I would surely have died. Then listening to Mary's own experience of Her being united to Jesus in His Passion. She took on so much with Love in Her heart and She surely since has been Our Mother guiding Her children. She is given so little in return and surely Satan does not want Her to have anything. I sing Our Lady's praises and look forward to Her crushing Satan's head. She is the woman clothed in the Sun. As with Jesus, I cannot fathom the sufferings Our Blessed Mother endured for us and Her Son. Her Immaculate Heart endured so much for us. Your videos on Mary's 7 sorrows have been very enlightening and I appreciate the more in depth look at Mary's Sorrows.

To Jesus through Mary. The profecy of Simeon strikes me but had never considered the amount of pain, still trying to bear it in the heart. Sancta Maria, pray for us.

The covid has become a tool to attack the Church. I have come more and more to appreciate St Alphonsus one of the great Marian Saints. I have been very unwell and try to give my illness to Mary to make into an offering for Jesus Private revelation is a Treasure house. I point to just one The Mystical City of God by Blessed Mary Agreda.

I feel like we did this last year too. We spent much time alone right after March 14 2020. I had a greater understanding of this aloneness your speaking of. It brought me closer to Mary and Jesus

I cannot fathom Simeon's prophecy which informed Mary of the other aspect of her role as the Mother of God. That a sword would pierce her heart, makes me cry. Also, I am often amazed at the whole objective of God's plan before her birth to have been born without any orginal sin. Just the amazing words from Elizabeth ( mother of John the Baptist who called her, Mother of My Lord) I don't think I could encompassed being called the Mother of the Son of God, Messiah, and God the Son. Still I have to wrap my head around God incarnate and her knowing all this was to be brought about through her willingness to accept this role without even questioning anything! She went through so much sorrow, but knew the end result for her son. What an amazing role she played as a Mother and in Christianity. She gave up her own precious treasure, her own flesh and blood, to the heavenly Father. I just don't know if I could do that. Just imagine her faith, trust and love for God. I don't know as earthly beings we really engulf all she went through with her Son and as the new Eve. I recall my priest saying to us, " We had death through Eva, life given through Mary." I have always admired her "Willingness and Holiness during my "little struggle" in life. 🙏❤️

This is a year out, in 2022. I live in Texas and we were allowed to go back to our churches in May 2020, every other pew, 6 ft apart--maybe 1/3 capacity. After spending Easter in our home watching Mass on our computer, I felt so empty! We've never missed Mass since. I hope everything is better wherever anyone is, & if we are locked out again, that pastors will find a way to work around restrictions instead of just shutting everyone out! Where there's a will, there's a way....
