A pre-pandemic investment in science pays off for Florida

Показать описание
Florida and Palm Beach County bet big when they recruited Scripps Research to build a biomedical institute and graduate school in their community 17 years ago. That investment has generated a return of nearly $8 for every $1 the public invested, a new study finds. In the midst of a pandemic, the actual value of scientific research and science education has proven to be so much greater. In this short video, Douglas Bingham, executive vice president of the institute’s Jupiter, Florida campus, describes the impact so far, and thanks community leaders and the public for their vision so many years ago.
