Super Capacitor Hybrid Lincoln Town Car Demostration

How long do you project that style of starter to last with so many starts per trip? Also, wouldn't implementing a vss into the system to keep the engine running until the vehicles slows to say 5mph or less extend the life of the starter? Cool project, similar to the autostop on the bimmers and hondas.

Aren't you losing your power brakes and power steering steering when the engine turns off? Is that safe? What if you are on the highway and press the brakes?? I think this idea needs to only work when the vehicle is stopped as well as the brake being depressed.

There is great work being done with super capacitors. If they get it right there will be no more long charge time for electric cars and battery life will not be a issue .
