NVIDIA: "Do any of you guys... uhh... still feel like overpaying for GPUs? Guys?"

It’s crazy how good the 1080ti has been for multiple generations of cards. I still have no reason to ditch it.

Intel: Releases A380, perhaps the slowest new GPU
Nvidia: Hold my beer

1630 would be a great(eh) budget card in the $50-75 range, but anyone who pays 150+ is officially missing something.

I'm sure Nvidia introduced this card to set a bottom line for the pricing of all their GPUs to prepare for their 4000 series release.

Even when GPU prices were bad I dont think this GPU would be worth it since you were able to still occasionally find RX 570s for around $130-$150
Or an RX 560 for $80

if nvidia gifts me a 1630, it would be an awesome card, but if i had to pay 150 bucks+ on a performance like gtx nahh

To be fair it soundly beats the GT1030 which is what it is meant to replace. It is really only meant as a card for those who do not have an APU and need something with a display or HDMI port. But the price point is just plain stupid. Even with current inflation I think anything above $100 is not worth it.

Maybe Nvidia conspired with Intel to make Intel's A380 look good by launching the GTX1630. I was fully expecting Intel's ARC launch to be pathetic and Intel is beating my worst expectations.

The GTX1630 maybe would have been welcome during the depths of the GPU crisis, but with this performance and that price it still would have been a dumb purchase.

if the 1630 was 70$ it would be worth it

Maybe for YOU (and everybody else) they just released the dumbest gpu ever... but for Nvidia is just another tuesday.

The GTX 1630 would have been awesome if it was 1997, but what is the point in 2022? Unless I'm missing something, then I digress.

It's honestly pathetic how companies are still releasing gpus with 4gb vram and such a small bus. 8gb should be the minimum in 2022.

Many people myself included were eyeballing this GPU for upgrade or their new build, if they sell it for $80 it's totally worth it to use in old office computers or home theater PCs and emulation PCs.

Nvidia is basically just selling their scrapped parts from 1650 production. All the leftover crap that they were planning to throw out. But the 1630 is really a new low -- As the RX 6400 is a reasonable performer at its price point, this 1630 should be priced at $99 given its lack of performance.

The gtx 1060 came out 6 YEARS AGO for $250 and this 1630 is way less powerful. Are the engineers at Nvidia smoking crack!? How could this card make sense
