likely those fiends don't care if the souls that they delivery to hell are good of evil, and batman don't belong there (but his enemies yes of course), is believed that because he chose spare the lives of the criminals instead kill them, and in turn they kills people, perhaps the shrouds using this as excuse to wanted his soul too, anyway batman as been so close to death many many times, surely in Gotham those shrouds could be very ''bussy'', !CREEPY¡.

I feel like shroud says he’s cheated death to him because of him not ending the life’s of some very evil people I mean sure Batman beats and bruises his enemies but at the end of the day he stopped a mad man form gassing the city or a clown from nuking the middle of town like whatever gods exist in the DC unironically have to see he’s done greater than even they would have against those guys in a human body like damn bruh 😭
