**Chaos in Italy now! Cars washed away after floods submerge Riposto, Sisilia due to severe weather**
Severe weather has wreaked havoc in the eastern region of Sicily, Italy. The towns of Giarre, Riposto, Messina, Catania and Syracuse were affected by severe flooding today, Wednesday, November 13, 2024, after being hit by heavy rains.
The rains of the last few hours have brought Sicily and the Catania region in particular to its knees. Between Acireale and Catania, in Torre Archirafi, the fury of the air that flooded the streets also dragged parked cars into the sea. The Facebook page Social Acireale published a video taken by a woman on the balcony of her house who was terrified and commented on how her car was also heading towards the sea.
