//GET BOTZ PLUS

Botz Plus lets you add variation to any glaze! In this video I test out Botz Plus, which enhances the effects of stoneware and earthenware glazes. This opens up a world of possibilities, because you can alter and increase the brilliance of any glaze you own! Botz Plus is works between Cone 05 - 10 firing range and is food-safe when used with food-safe glazes.

I always appreciate how you look to source products that are widely available. Your commitment to make pottery accessible is incredible. I love the effect of this glaze. It's a great way to add variety and interest without having a dozen glazes.

It took me a second to catch up when you said "cookies", my mind immediately went to chocolate chip.

Love a proper sponsor disclosure. You'd be surprised how many smaller influencers skip it. 😅 You make such calming content even if I'll never do pottery 😂

The inside/outside glazing makes your pot look very much like a set of coffee cups my parents had back in the 70s. Love the effect!

I think amaco or mayco sells light fluxes and a dark flux. Fluxes do the same. Great video btw.

You can also apply the special stuff first and glaze second and it will flow but also give a different effect.

Im watching this video with a cup of coffee in my hand from a local to me potter and is slowly realising that she must have used the same product! It's even green! Very pretty and interesting effect. I love the fire opal too.

Idk how to say this, but the bit in the intro, just before you began to spoke was so aesthetically pleasing, gosh I loved the vibe with the soft music, probably the only person to enjoy those 3-4 secs, but hey

This is awesome!! What an awesome idea! It looks a lot like a flux. Yes brushing the glazes on in a different direction is really important. Especially when using glazes like celadons so you don’t get splotchy areas and doesn’t show the brush marks, especially good when using 3 coats to get full coverage.

using a new glaze is always so exciting and I'm glad you got such cool outcomes!

Looks to me like a flux glaze in the US. Numerous different colors and effects available. Really do spice up the base glaze.

Just have to say that the timing with the music during the throwing/trimming/firing segment was so well done and satisfying!

Wow, the second bottle is a gorgeous colour over the green, as you say there is lots of variation which is beautiful

This reminds me of Amaco Honey Flux! I usually do the HF under another gaze, but I should experiment more with it. Also, my face when you showed your ware board with nails to fit on the banding wheel.🤯

Thank you so much for all of the great info - I struggle with glazes - so glad I can get these at the local Blick store!!!

I’ve never used Botz but those look like nice big jars of glaze!

Yah! They have them at Blick. I plan to order some when it warms up. Thanks for telling us about this glaze.

Amaco has quite a few fluxes that also create beautiful drippy/flowy effects! Highly recommend to try out!

Now I know how one of my favorite local potters get that effect. pot #2 was really similar to their glaze style. Looks great!
