Now for the serious sadly, that's an illegal jump....you must take off from one foot not two. Maybe we should invent a two-footed long jump though because it looks like fun.

Ok, there’s a lot of confusion in the comments. I’m sure he won his division due to his prior jumps. The title sort of implies that it’s because of this jump, though obviously it’s illegal, so that’s really the only logical option

We had a high jumper in school who ran toward the bar straight on, jumped and curled into a ball, arms around his knees, and barrel rolled over the bar. This was his normal jumping style.

what the ... When I was in 8th grade I could sand and jump over 9 feet and he looked like he only went a dozen feet or so ...
With his obvious athleticism, I think this was not his winning jump
