Great shave. I bought an Omega 10066 brush and once it arrived, I soaked it in for 2 days in cold water in the fridge. Afterwards, I rubbed it with a towel for up to 10 minutes, and that break-in method is working like magic. I’m excited to use it in my future shaves as it’s my first boar/natural hair brush I’ve ever acquired

Thanks for the video. I learned from a friend that you can split the bristles on a boar brush in three days. At night, put the brush in a very cold glass of water. When you go to bed, put the glass with your brush in it, in to your refrigerator. Around the time you are eating breakfast, shake and dry the brush against a towel, then hang the brush to dry. Complete those steps for 3 days in a row. You'll see many hairs split 2 or 3 times at about 1.5cm's down the bristle. give it a try. Worked for my Omega Pro 10049.

Hi Kevy- Great shave and razor/soap /blade/brush reviews; thank you! Lots of great gear for your shave. I hope your weekend has been going nicely. Take good care and be safe and be well. All the best, Kevy!

Nice shave Kevy. Soak the boar in a cup of water just below the knot in the fridge over night. Then splay it out on a towel vigorously. Repeat a couple of nights and the hairs will split nicely and get real soft.

Gillette London Bridge Super Stainless is the budget version of Gillette Rubie Ultra Stainless here in the Philippines. Both blades are Made In China for our local market. And the Ultras are a tad sharper than the Supers.

I was just looking at that soap you've made me make up my mind to buy it 👍

You inspired me to get a brush soaker, Kevy. I got the latest model soaker from MENTOS. It comes with a hinge lid but I removed it. It's nice that it has kind of a ribbed contour for better handling. Nice and tall for those tall loft brushes too! you can tell they care for their customers because as a thank you it was filled with mint flavored gums! 🤣

Really enjoying this soap which I picked up after your first outing with it. Very taken with the design on the handle of the Fire.

Kevy, I could hear those whiskers, when you were shaving. Sounded kind of rough, compared to your other shaves. Great video as always. Kevy, the best to you, Mrs. Kevy and Riley!

Yeah my shaves take ages too taking SOTD pics before I do anything 🤣 like Chris' stuff, I have the Tarifa scent and a sample of an up and coming soap he's working on which is barber shop scented. Love the GSC razor. 👌🪒

Nice shave Kevy💈💈 Another GSC razor, who would of thought it? Soap looks good, and yes boar brushes do eat lather until well broken in. I'm not experimenting with blades anymore, too much risk involved. I'm sticking to my five favorites and enjoying every shave. Nivea 2 Phase is great stuff, sad it's hard to find. Well done video, always a good watch, thanks. Stay safe. Enjoy!

Hi Kevy, in the U.S, the same nylon "razor head washers" are sold as "#10 Nylon Flat Washers". They can be purchased at home improvement stores such as Home Depot. One trick I use is to take a Sharpie Marker and put some "hash marks" on the washer. That way I can find the darn thing on my bathroom countertop.

Looks like a recycling code on the bottom of the super soaker. Thanks for the T shirt Kevy, we appreciate it. I really dig a long handle Boar brush. I don't know why I keep trying new blades, I don't think I am going to find a blade that is going to crack my top 6, or 14 for that matter. I need to weed out some of my blades instead of adding new ones. Thanks for the shave Kevy... Cheerio...

For the cheap bath soap loading the brush, I'm using Williams mug soap.

So you bought 100 of those blades? As I'm pondering that, maybe it should be put through one of those gorgeous 6S razors you have. The geometry of the Rockwell is outstanding; a great proving ground for unknown blades. I need to stop dicking around get the Truefitt & Hill pre-shave oil. I've been procrastinating about it long enough. The soap is a mixed bag for me. It had more ingredients in it than traditional artisan fare. Albeit slick, the lather wasn't opaque. The scent however, sounds very masculine and brawny. It was remarkable seeing the elusive 10098! I own one as well. I still endeavor to get the knot to look like Tony Tony's 10098. I agree that a large boar knot is very pleasing to use. It massages the face; stimulating blood circulation. You truly inspired me to use my 2-phase today. I noticed we didn't hear Riley scratching about upstairs. Thank you for this episode. Please continue to stay safe and healthy. My kind regards to Mrs. Kevy, and the precocious Riley. Cheers!
