I mean, if her goal is to avoid getting sued, then saying "legally, allegedly" is still technically correct. Because legally, she must say allegedly.

Mint Fantome is living her dream with all the freedom she has now as independent VTuber😭 so glad she decided to continue her passion.

I remembered when Pomu canceled her stream with her fan 3D Model

the *if only u knew how bad it was* reaction when we keep getting tidbits of bad things that go on in there every once in a while

You know, this really recontextualizes Hana Macchia being one of the oldest english-speaking nijisanji vtubers on the platform (before NijiEN even existed) and yet only getting her 3D model last year.

kiara's exercise outfit does indeed have people acting up

Kiara has clarified that she is allowed to use the alternate models for one off projects from her home but cant use them for any official hololive streams. Only models made by the company are allowed.

So lame. Management won’t pay for your new models but still restrict what models you can have. Glad she’s out of there.

She has a friend of a friend that works in a corpo, that's cool

Dayum, all HoloPro talents, including HoloStars always get their 3D debuts promptly around their 1 year anniversary.

Meanwhile Selen who spent thousands of dollars and did her damndest to make Nijisanji look like a fun, event filled community didn’t “earn” her model for the entire time she was there.

from what talents have said, i';m pretty sure that in holo it does require review to make sure it doesn't give legal issues or be too close to another talents outfit, but aside from that they pretty much have the freedom to do what they want, the only difficulty is the time it takes to get it tot eh appropriate quality to be acceptable and the cost

I still not forgotten mint a.k.a pomu of her crying on stream because niji denied her once in a lifetime opportunity offer.

Nijisanji trying to sue in American court, where Canadian lawyers are already salivating at defending Dokibird, good one.

I totally forgot about Knight Wawa. Thank you for reminding me, Mint. That is indeed her best outfit imo, peek fantasy design.

I mean, Holo allows fan games and everything, and have always encouraged the fans. They often use fanart in thumbnails too. Assuming the fan content abides by how they do things, they're generally cool with allowing it. I mean, Smol Ame was even a fan creation. That's the Holo difference.

You either see it as potential work forces for or potential brand damage.

If you communicated with fans correctly brand damage side can be control.

I'm glad other companies are able to use assets to make completely different looking models from their originals. It's much more common in 2D ones but seeing a custom Chibi is nice also. Yet, I think Kiara was the only corporate character to have her own fan made 3D displayed. The technologies are fun and some Vtubers can get really creative.

Glad that Mint never have to deal with those black companies! xD
Heard that they're also paying for their own 3D but the other company still get most of the money. Allegedly, legally, hypothetically, heard it from a friend

Technically, if you're a small corpo, you might want to actually be tight about that. Especially due to what we've discovered with Filian's issues with merch using her model. Emphasis on small. Large ones could negotiate the terms and how much the model's worth or if the artist could want a 1% royalty each time said model gets used. The latter is less likely to happen. No company would wanna pay royalties for years on end. It is pretty off-putting hearing that fan models aren't even allowed in heaven. Then again, it is heaven. Lotsa rules and stuff.

paying and earning for a model should be the norm IF it's paying for the artist and earning an achievement but from this context it feels like they're paying them or need to earn a specific value
