Creating Dynamic Blocks in AutoCAD—Only You Can Prevent Bloated Block Libraries

Why should you be using Dynamic Blocks? Quite simply, Dynamic Blocks can greatly reduce the number of blocks in your library, improving your efficiency. While it does take a little more time up front to create a dynamic block, the timesavings on the back end are well worth the effort! Thank you so much for posting this presentation! This is a highly useful tutorial with information that I could not find anywhere else - I appreciate it. Now I can impress my co-workers. One thing that I had to note is that I did not know the proper way to import/export a block library. According to my co-worker, the best was to do this is through the design center (type "DC" in the command line) if that is helpful to anyone else!

Wait @ 43:28 the question is asked about using dynamic blocks for extrusion length for 3d blocks. I am using 2017 since I am too lazy to migrate my settings up to 2020 and am doing exactly that. I am using this tool for dynamic seismic bracing which is 3d to stretch the length and it is working great!
