Thanks for the video. I'm a long retired CAD teacher, and I'm just learning about dynamic blocks. This video was simple short and informative. A+

Your Tutoring style is excellent not too fast with precise and clear instructions. All your inputs are visible in the command bar. I wish all instructional videos were this easy to follow. Thank you

Very Good lesson. Note, the Properties Window is a Properties Palette. Dock it Left or Right and put it on Autohide (or not since it is where you do all your Overrides)

Awesome! There must be so many cool things you can do with dynamic blocks. I'd love to see some really crazy stuff.

As someone who teaches CAD mainly Rhino 3D, I find AutoCAD user can pick up Rhino very fast. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the video. I hv 3 questions regarding dyn blocks namely 1. the importance of base point parameters here not defined. 2. how you make the circular sink remain at the center 3. the logic behind making the stretching equal by using two actions with 1 stretch parameter.

I have a question. I have the same dynamics block in different tabs of a drawing file. Is there any way that if I change visibility state of one dynamic block, and visibility states of other dynamic blocks whill change automatically. Please help. Regards

Better late than never,
The move parameter is made in conjunction with Distance 1. The multiplier for the properties to the move parameter multiplies the Distance 1 number. If you want it to stay half-way between front and back, multiply it by 1/2.

it would be nice if you showed how you got the sink to move, because mine is moving not quite right.

Thanks!  Great vid!  Easily understood!  Now, I'm have applied this to my drafting life long ago AND how did you draw that spline so it looks so freaking  Sweet!
EDIT:  Got the spline figured out by looking at your text window.  Thanks!

after inserting the alignment parameter, i give in "t" for "type", it then takes it as the command for "text" and well... it doesn't let me specify the type of the alignment. not even when I enter the whole word "type"... any tips?

Hi, please guide me.
I made a block with some hole's in its. After that I applied dynamic constraints in dynamic block.

Outside the Block, I mentioned dimensions/position on holes.
And I want, If I change the block shape or I change the Holes position using dynamic block. Dimensions should also change according to new location of hole's.

Whats the best way to get your text to stay centered and oriented the way it was originally when you insert the block upside down? Thanks.

hi, I followed your tutorial, and my first attempt worked, where the block would align to the curved line. However, when I attempted the second time, it wouldn't align. I tried the third, forth and fifth time, and all failed to align. I don't think my first attempt was a fluke. I have no clue what happened.
