We at Beach Cities Health District are working closely with residents to re-imagine our 11-acre campus and chart the future of preventive health in the Beach Cities for the next 50 years. Our vision is to purposefully transform the aging former hospital site into an intergenerational Healthy Living Campus where current and future generations of Redondo, Hermosa and Manhattan Beach residents can engage around health, connect with one another and be well.

Let's be very clear. The 2019 Plan was 60-feet tall per the EIR NOP. The 2019 Plan has 739, 000 sqft of above ground construction. The 2020 Plan is 103-feet tall per the DEIR. The 2020 Plan has 793, 000 sqft of above ground construction after BCHD moved 160, 000 sqft of underground parking into a huge, 8-10 story ramp at Prospect and Diamond. BCHD INCREASED THE HEIGHT AND THE AMOUNT OF TALL, SURFACE CONSTRUCTION.
