Introduction to AC theory and sine waves.

Показать описание
AC circuits are more efficient at long distance transmission and thus used to transmit and distribute energy from power plants to homes.
The electricity produced by a rotating generator produces a sine wave, generally designed with a frequency of either 50hz or 60hz.
This lesson also shows how to calculate rms Voltage and peak voltage.
There are however other losses called reactances caused by inductors and capacitors. The components can make the current either lead or lag in relation to the voltage.
