DUAL NATURE of Radiation and Matter (Introduction) || in Hindi for Class 12

In this Physics video in Hindi for Class 12 we explained what dual nature of radiation and matter means. The fact that Electromagnetic radiation and matter, like electron, possess properties of wave as well as particle is known as the dual nature. This topic is from Chapter 11 : 'Dual Nature of Radiation and Matter' for Class 12 from NCERT.
In 1801 Thomas Young, in his double slit experiment, showed the interference of light. In 1865 Maxwell showed that light is an electromagnetic wave. These established the wave nature of radiation.
During the explanation of blackbody radiation Max Planck assumed that the radiation consists of packets of energy and he termed them 'Photon'. While explaining the photoelectric effect Albert Einstein also assumed the same. These established the particle nature of radiation.
In 1924 Luis de Broglie postulated that eevery particle possess soe wave properties. This was established be two experiments, viz., Davisson - Germer experiment and G. P. Thomson's electron diffraction experiment. These established the wave nature of particle.
