This 4-channel dash camera is PERFECT for Uber/Rideshare/TLC drivers. You have one main camera always watching forward, a camera on the left that you can use to watch yourself and behind you, a camera that can watch the passenger and a positionable camera unit that can be wired as a tow hitch trailer camera or repositioned in the car. 4 Channels constantly recording to a single 128GB SD card. When there is an incident, you simply take the card out and check the folders for the date and time of the incident and now you have 4 different views of the same event.
For a TLC driver this is an absolute MUST HAVE.
The only downside is that the unit lacks a touchscreen display. You can navigate its menus using that buttons on the monitor but you'll have an easier time dealing with data here if you use a laptop instead. The device also lacks a suction cup. It wants to be 3M taped directly to your windshield. I prefer suction cups for easy removal.
All necessary hardware is included and setup is easy. You definitely need powered USB with 20W delivery or better to run it - or you can use the included 12v adapter.
The cameras have infrared sensors and can record in low-light conditions. Video quality is definitely good enough for evidence in court.
