Fully deserved!! Took way too long for Southgate to make this call. Watching Konsa every week he fully deserves to be in this England squad. He’s been absolutely unbelievable for us.

He’s always been solid for Villa but he has really stepped up this season. Especially with Mings absence, well deserved!

As a villa fan, I've seen the major improvement of konsa over the past 2 years. This call up is 100% deserved. A quality player

Ezri has this season developed in a real ball playing centre back. He could always defend extremely well. Great in the air, never gets dribbled past but maybe lacked a bit when on the ball. Watching Villa building up from the back this season with Konsa and Torres has highlighted how good he is now on the ball now and that's without doubt the doing of Emery.

Great interview, such a nice man.

I think as fans we often forget how deeply privileged players feel on being called up.

Its an accumulation of a lifetime of boyhood dreams, hard work, pushing through adversity from the academy to making it as a professional. Everyone has a deeply personal story and its a good reminder to all of us how proud the players are to pull on an England shirt to play for us, their familys, their country.

With any other manager he would be in the starting 11 without question. He is so consistent I hope he gets the chance he's thoroughly deserved for the past couple of years.
