Since you mentioned psoriasis, I thought I'd tell you about what I am trying now that is working. I had head to toe psoriasis. It had recently gotten debilitating bc of an illness. It was bad. I'm talking about not wanting to live bad. Because of you and Stacey I decided to try a Castor Oil liver pack. I went with QOT. I'm on day 14 and I am almost completely clear! ❤

My daughter got a head injury a few months ago, a big cut on the top of her head. I packed it full of yarrow and the bleeding stopped immediately. Because it was a head injury and there where some other signs of possible concussion, we took he to the urgent care. None of the Drs or nurses knew what yarrow was and they were all amazed at how little blood she had! So they got a nice little home remedies and history lesson about yarrow and its role in past wars. She did end up getting three staples. No concussion praise the Lord!

We don't watch many homesteading videos anymore, we are so busy doing it ourselves and adding more greenhouses and just put in a fully automatic commercial germination house, but we always pay attention when you talk herbs and I bet we will add to our Yarrow plants very soon. Much Love from David and Terri at Old South Homestead

Last summer one of my daughters miscarried at 12 weeks. The bleeding continued for over a week, and was very heavy. She asked me what herb[s) she should use to address the bleeding. I told her to use yarrow tincture, but I had just started my yarrow tincture only two weeks prior to the miscarriage, so I didn’t feel it would be strong enough yet. She managed to find a yarrow essential oil, which was ok’d as safe for human consumption. She put several drops into tea and drank it three times per day. The bleeding slowed dramatically on day 2, and completely stopped by day 4.

Who else automatically smiles back at Heidi at the end of each video? And periodically throughout the video as well!

I have never used yarrow medicinally, but plan to. I used to have a nice patch of it in my garden, but has since been overtaken with other things. I'm hoping to start some seeds indoors for my herbs to plant outside this spring.

I'm so looking forward to updated herbal videos. I really need to get my butt in gear and work on my herbal card file. (I've been busy with snow removal lately....great exercise by the way...)

God bless!!

I love yarrow! My 7yo learned about it this past summer. She started telling neighbor kids all about it too. ❤

I love yarrow! As a tea it has helped me and my family recover from the flu many times over the years.
However, if you are a nursing mother it will dry up your milk.

last year we were forced out of our apartment because it sold. Not knowing where we would end up, a friend allowed us to garden on his property which is 132 acres with 12 cranberry bogs and ponds. In return I give him vegetables and help harvest his cranberries. Anyway, I found some Yarrow on the edge of the woods in part shade by one of the ponds. I dug some up and planted it in full sun around the garden (about 3 plants in 3 areas) and it looked liked it had died. To my surprise, it came back and had spread and I now have 3 huge patches of it which just started to bloom last week. We now live just 4 minutes from the garden and I walk the property daily finding all sorts of beneficial plants and trees.

I noticed some yarrow growing around my garden and never used it until today. I chewed fresh leaves and put them on some misquito bites. They felt better almost immediately :3

Been wanting to know how to use Yarrow.

You mentioned your soaps.... I've been searching high and low for someone that makes a simple ingredient Lye soap. The old fashioned Lye soap without the scents/fragrances. If you don't make and sell your soaps would you be willing to share your recipe/instructions on how you make yours?
I FOUND THE BASIC SOAP MAKING VIDEO!!
I should have searched it before asking about it. Thank you for making that video❤

I'm excited to use yarrow more after seeing this video. I've used it once in a tea and I learned that it is amazing at moving bile if that's a desired effect for anyone. You'll have kelly green poop for a couple of days but at least you'll know it's working. 😂

Thank you Heidi! Yarrow is one of my favorites, it's versatile! Tincture is very helpful for pain, inflammation, anxiety, and sound sleep when it is hard to turn your mind off. You are appreciated for getting the information out there, very useful!

I was going to try and make a mouthwash with my tincture for oral health! It looks beautiful with the fern like leaves floating as it is extracting. Everyone commented on how neat and beautiful it was! It also is so easy to grow and beautiful! Thanks for sharing. I am always learning from you!🥰
