Breaking minecraft idea: mod it so the world generates in a different order. Compare computer space, bugs, and other changes.

3:02 I don't know why, but I really like that cave on the left.

These are the kinds of videos I love seeing, especially as a programmer.

I couldn't hear much during the stone part... there was too much *_noise_*

These mods can make some interesting survival maps.

And now, the old Minecraft title: "Order of the Stone" has a completely new meaning to it.

I like this kind of video, it gives a good insight in to what you could call the magic of Minecraft.

I would love if you went into more detail about how it creates biomes, temperature and humidity maps, and how that affects the perlin noise during generation. Perhaps even include how popular mods like Biomes-o-plenty, or Realistic World Generation overwrite the vanilla code to alter the finished product.

Awesome to see this visualized. Do the mob spawner dungeons spawn in the cave section or the structure section?

You know it's going to be interesting when the regular intro music doesn't play.

Venom, this was pretty amazing. I've actually explored the sourcecode to better understand world generation on my own but I couldn't get mods requesting Minecraft to stop midway to really function. Props to Lucavon and props to you Venom, I hope to see more interesting code explorations like this in the future. <3

Will be interesting to get an update on this with 1.17 (or eventually 1.18) generation, since at least water levels work differently.

3:43 I think this kind of video - one that explains and visualizes the way Minecraft works - is very interesting. I always like to learn how various aspects of Minecraft work the way they do, so videos that explain that really peak my curiosity.

you know what would be interesting a play through in the first stage generation of minecraft and trying too figure out how to progress from there

I think its worth mentioning, it dosent generate the whole world when you create it, all this stuff that is explained in this video pretty much is happening all the time because new parts of a minecraft world are only generated when you go near them. Like, when you walk to a new area in a minecraft world, it isnt just there waiting for you, it dosent even exist until it has been within render distance at least once.
