Mirror to mirror only works if your car is the same length as the car in front of the pocket. Depending on the length of your car you need to find a reference point to match against the left (outer) back corner of the car in the front of the pocket.

So wrong. Align your back door with the rear of the car you are parking behind and cut in at 45 degree angle. Works every time.
