Ableton Move - Limited to Only One Track?

I put together a short performance to demonstrate how much can be done with just one track, featuring the Drum Rack / Drum Sampler on the @Ableton Move. Imagine expanding this concept with multiple clips, additional Drum Racks, synths, samples, live instruments, etc. It really shows how powerful this little groovebox can be. I didn't even get into the panning and tone shaping I set up per pad, or the main track effects (no additional effects, mixing, or mastering added in post).

This lo-fi hip-hop beat is just one example, and I'm definitely not an expert in the genre, so comment below with links to some of your "limited" creations.✌️

One device, One track, One Drum Sampler, Dope track, Zero Complaints, Big Love! Thanks for the inspirational video and tune!

The thing is, some people see possibilities while many see limitations. This here represents the possibilities side of things.

Thanks for sharing. Subbed.

I appreciate the commentary in writing while the track is going. Great way to stay connected to the music while understanding your thought process and learn 👏

Great demonstration. I get the sense that people don't see how the Move is versatile because they also don't know how Live is deeply versatile. This is a good demonstration.

Limitations breed creativity, on steroids 😂

Nice work, perfect illustration of what the move can do if you got the will. This device seems very versatile.

Excellent! You have successfully demonstrated that creativity easily trumps limitation. It’s a bit like having four Novation Circuit Rhythms in one box! The Move could make an appearance in my letter to Santa 🤣.

The beat is insanely good! If I had made it, I'd feel like the happiest person alive.

I use the same workflow. It’s basically what I did on MPC 500. And I get 3 synths along the way 😉

Great video 👍 You’ve shown it go from perceived underpowered Groovebox to actually being one one of the most powerful, versatile and fun to use boxes

Fire beat and thanks for elaborating on the Move. Still on the fence but this video helps convince me of a purchase.

Just subbed. Keep up the great work and fire beats.!

I just got the Move and my initial impressions are that it’s a great device and a big improvement over the KO2 I sold to help pay for it.

After making a couple beats I feel that it could do with more FX per pad, per kit and on the master (guess we are used to having way more fx options in other groove boxes and MPC’s).

Ableton need to allow for you to work back and forth between Live and the Move but right now is it’s only a one way street.

I haven’t worked out how to sample, trim and quantise live guitar either.. the sample engine is awesome but there’s a few options missing.
