250th Session of Rajya Sabha which began on 18th November concluded on Friday with the upper house clocking almost 100 percent productivity during 20 sittings.

This session began with members reflecting on the Role of Rajya Sabha in Indian Polity and the Way Forward. 15 Bills were passed during the session including some landmark bills like the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Bill, Citizenship (Amendment ) Bill, The Constitution (126th Amendment) Bill extending reservation for SCs and STS in the legislatures by another 10 years and the Bill banning e-cigarettes.

39% of the total functional time in Rajya Sabha was spent on legislative business, 25.4% on raising and discussing matters of urgent public importance under Short Duration Discussion, two Calling Attention Notices, Zero Hour and Special Mentions, 13% on Question Hour meant for ensuring accountability of the executive and 5 % on Private Members’ Bills.

Land mark bills passed in Land mark session no 250.Well Done BJP and RSTV proved, it is the official voice of The Indian Govt, not a mouth piece of any Ruling party.It is real news, just echoes the day's story as it should be TOLD to the public .

Equal representation (3 member /state) for all States in Rajyasabha as in the US senate is desirable

Equal representation will enhance the federal character of the Upper house
