In this video, I discuss the regulation of the Urea Cycle, both long-term and short-term. The long-term regulation is based on nitrogen flux / substrate availability, while the short-term regulation is based on the allosteric regulation of the enzyme that catalyzes the committed step of the Urea Cycle, Carbamoyl Phosphate Synthetase I (CPS I).
