Parliament Special Session 2023: Nirmala Sitharaman Hails Success Of Chandrayaan-3 In Rajya Sabha

Nirmala Sitharaman spoke in the Rajya Sabha about the success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission and the soft landing of Lander Vikram on the Moon. Speaking about Jairam Ramesh's "muscular nationalism" comment, the Finance Minister said: "PM Modi stood next to K Sivan after the failure of Chandrayaan-2. Standing next to him, the PM said, "I understood your frame of mind... We are full of confidence regarding the space programmes and the best is yet to come." It is not muscular nationalism to stand next to scientists and it was not the first time that PM Modi gave them credit. When India launched over 100 satellites, the PM tweeted and gave them credit."
