I was blown away when I played this in 2020. The graphics weren't amazing, but the ATMOSPHERE was something else. Definitely enjoyed it even though I've played through dark souls 1-3

I thought demon souls would be rather different to Dark Souls, but there's a ton more similarities than I expected.

I love that they show plenty of actual combat gameplay in this trailer. A lot of games literally don’t do that anymore. Or at least they show a heavily exaggerated version.

People who say souls games are too difficult to define as a genre/Sub-genre are wrong; it's an actually very simple, its just that people dont know the definition: A Souls game is an action game with strategy game design and through this gameplay a focus on immersion and environmental storytelling.

Demon's Souls/Dark Souls 1/Dark Souls 2 are Souls games, Dark Souls 3/Bloodborne/Elden Ring are not designed the same way; they are action orientated and not strategical, they arent souls games. Most of these games except Elden Ring have kept elements, but they aren't the same.

Sekiro is definitely not a souls game either...
