Tommy Tucker - Shame, Shame, Shame

This was recorded in 1968 but remained unissued until the release of compilation "Hi Records - the Early Years Vols.1+2". Let me quote the liner notes: "With the stellar Hi rhythm section of the Hodges brothers and Howard Grimes behind him, Tucker cut a menacingly low down version of Jimmy Reed´s "Shame, Shame, Shame", in which he can also be heard playing the harmonica solo". And well I might add this is not the Tommy Tucker who recorded "Hi Heel Sneakers" for Chess.

Great session. Like the drummer working that tom-tom coming over the bridge. Nice, low down blues.

"This is not the Tommy Tucker who recorded "Hi Heel Sneakers" for Chess". There were two Tommy Tuckers?
