I remember learning German from old textbooks, themselves out of date in the early '00s, probably featuring pictures and examples taken from the '80s. And in a sense these video scenarios, the acting, the silliness, feel like those '80s static pictures becoming alive as cheesy modern vignettes. I actually really like it.
