Hy Dylan, I thumbed this video up mostly for the smile you gave me ("I'll let him euh...) but I disagree about the 28x "crop" factor : at 7x you MUST explain it's the SECOND lens working (with a smaller sensor) ! And you can easilly find great footage at 7x because of that : it's NOT digital zooming ! Of course, in between and after it's not sharp enough to be useable ;o)

wow Dylan, I have to say, that 28 x digital zoom, actually is impressive, I was pleasantly surprised, not to mention too, the stability of the image at 28 x digital zoom of the golfing experience too. I have always treated 'digital zoom' as 'tongue in cheek', and never bother using it on any camera/drone that I have ever owned, but this as mentioned is remarkably impressive. One day, in 50 years time (or less), we will see a drone with 128x optical zoom, similar to the Nikon P1000 camera of today, sadly I will be 100 years old then lol. Take care, and again great video. Thank you very much for info, and detaled use of Zoom. I just made my First flight w M3. My park of drones M2zoom, M2pro, Mplatinum. With M3 I do have TRIPLTEK monitor. Is any option to set Zoom control ove rollig-wheel? (simmilar like M2zoom has with smart controler)

The Zoom feature is great although you lose quality but if it wasn't for that zoom feature I would had not found my mini 2 which fell into a tree in a dense forest it took me.4 days but the m3 zoom got it in the end and now the mini 2 lives to fly another day 😁👍👌🇬🇧

Is the 28x zoom usable in still photo mode or just video?

Obviously a pro is not using a 28X digital zoom to record anything usable but I like the idea of this thing being able to FIND something to shoot so that you don't need to waste battery time trying to figure out the route you want to take.

Isn't there an optical zoom level first and then when you go beyond that you go into digital? That is how it works with the regular digital cameras I've used.
