DJI Mavic 3 Zoom - 28x Hybrid Zoom Review (Explore Mode) | DansTube.TV

The DJI Mavic 3 features a 28x hybrid zoom (Explore Mode), the zoom functionality is captured on the tele camera 1/2" CMOS sensor which is located above the Hasselblad 4/3" sensor. DJI are prioritising imaging above everything with the release of the Mavic 3 but does the zoom functionality of the Mavic 3 deliver?

In this video you will see all of the different zooming options (1x, 2x, 4x, 7x, 14x and 28x). The 28x hybrid zoom is clearly cropping the image and using digital zoom to achieve the 28x zoom, but this is still impressive to witness the results that can be achieved. The video quality at 28x is barely useable but impressive nonetheless, the 7x zoom is the sweet spot and a reasonable zooming option for most people (it gives you sufficient range from the subject). 1x is native of the main camera and it digitally zooms to 4x. The jump at this point is because it switches to 7x, which is the native of the small camera. This then zooms digitally up to 28x from the original 1x of the main camera. Because of this, the hybrid element is just that 7x is also optical.

You apparently don't know that x7 zoom is optical, all others above 1x are digital zooms.
