best introduction of a villain in a Pirates movie, his design is f**king fantastically brilliant.

Salazar: “No no no, no need to fear me boy. I always leave one man alive to tell the tale.”
I like to think he picked him to live because he’s just a kid and he wouldn’t kill a young boy. But that’s how I like to see it

"I will behold the daylight again" what a perfect line for a villain

Salazar was genuinely the most terrifying villain in the entire series. Something so unnerving and tragic about a hero perishing at sea and turning into that abomination.

1:22 I love how even as a cursed zombie, Salazar is still polite enough to say please.

In this clip....the way he grins and utters his name "Salazar, " is like a horror movie trying to be funny – bone-chilling with a side of chuckles!

The way he emphasises the word "death" with the black stuff coming out from his bared teeth is *chefs kiss* top notch

“I wish I could do it myself but deadmen tell no tales.”

Such an underrated cool line.

I for one loved how all the different supernatural crews moved in very unique ways.

The black pearls cursed crew moved underwater hollow and barren with the literal weight of the curse weighing them down.

The Dutchman’s crew morphed and teleported between ships given the very real symbolism, part of the ship part of the crew

The Silent Mary’s crew move seamlessly through everything, literal phantoms.

Any scene with Salazar is just raw. One of my favorite characters. I kinda wish they kept him alive and as a villain for at least one more movie. These one off villains are cool but they seem unimportant when it’s so limited.

He really did a good Spanish pirate accent and evil that’s exactly how he would speak 🗣️

Salazars and his crew are even more op than the Aztec crew of the black pearl, which is crazy and they could totally wreck the flying dutchman and jones unless he has some other power for dealing with spirits and lost souls like them

the movie was written poorly but Salazar did his job as a freaking scary and memorable villain. Javier Bardem was perfect for the role.

You know, its funny, how simple something with the dialog could change from making little sense, to being fine. Salazar's men kill everyone, then prepare to leave, only to be brought bellow by a noise. Salazar says " i always leaves one man alive to tell the tale", yet clearly he had no idea they were even there. If he had said something like "oh dont be afraid boy, i am happy to leave one man alive to tell the tale.." it goes from making little sense, to being fine. Surprised the writers did not catch this honestly.

*Capitán Salazar:* Tell him death will go straight for him. Will you say that to him? please.

*Me:* Well, at least you said "Please", so I will deliver your message Capitán
