Dunkin and Starbucks are both overrated, they taste bland, cheap, limited menu and are unimpressive.

That's the whole point of Cane's. They have about 5 things on the menu so that their service is quick and their costs are low

The chicken paired with the sauce at Raising Caine's is really delicious. Other than that, this is a good video. Keep it up!

This guy is not a fan of the obvious core competencies of Cane’s, In-N-Out, and Dominos

In-n-out delivers a $3 made to order burger that they butcher and has never been frozen with $2 fries that are peeled and cut on premise. That’s impressive and if it’s overrated then who does that better?

I have been to Jersey Mike’s just twice and would never go back. They refused to honor general prepaid debit cards as payment. Subs get drowned in dressing/sauce to the point where it overpowers the taste of everything else. Employees seemingly get pressured to talk at length with customers in an unnatural way while they are making the subs, which leads to both awkward conversation and distracted sandwich making. Just about sandwich/sub shop has been better for me.

Domino’s red sauce is like battery acid, I swear. I really struggle these days to find a reliably good pizza joint anymore. Nothing will ever beat Pizza Hut back around the turn of the century. Now they’re just grievously overpriced and their dine-in appeal has been long, long abandoned

Five Guys is outrageously expensive for what it provides. The best places to eat are generally local franchises or independent restaurants. I almost never eat at a fast food joint anymore.

Lmfao just rewatched the iconic Anthony Bourdain In-N-Out video, then this shows up, i just knew it would make it on the list

Absolutely agree with Shake Shack, when i first tried them in very early 2022, they tasted like the middest burger i ever had in my life.
Never have i had such an "ok" burger in my life, but yet for a while i saw that journalists were going nuts over them for seemingly no reason.

The only place in my area on this list is Dominoes and honestly the only time i ever ordered from them was when they were the only place that was open and I was too tired to cook something. Desperation and hunger does strange things to people and that's probably why they continue to succeed with their ultra bland pizza.

Re: Raisin' It's all about that sauce. I travel to Ohio twice a year for the Sonic Temple festival and then again in the fall to go to Cedar point and when we're in Columbus we usually eat at Canes almost every night. The chicken is the perfect meal after a day of drinking and that sauce is oh so good. We just got a location here in CT so maybe now that I have the option to go more than once a year the allure will wear off but we'll see

Honestly Domino’s is probably the best of the big three pizza chains

I love Cane’s because it’s always the same. The focus on one thing so it’s insanely fast service, so the limited menu speeds it up.

At other places I only order one thing usually, so to me it isn’t a downside.

Domino's: It became popular because it made delivery fast and reliable. Something you likely take for granted today. And the pizza was worse before, but they made it better since. Now it's decent, but it has a strong foothold now.

In-N-Out: Totally agreed. West coast people are obsessed and I don't get it. Too few items and bland food. I like that they pay their employees better and that's it is fresher, but that's it.

Shake Shack: I like them. Not as good as Five Guys, but I like diverse options to choose from.

Dunkin Donuts. Mediocrity at its finest.

TL:DR Californians love In and Out because it is a teen hangout spot.

As someone born and raised in California I’m an in and out supporter. The reason why In and Out gets so overrated by us here in California is because, to us, In and Out is an experience. I don’t mean that in some philosophical sense, just saying that In and Out is a place that you’d frequent as a teen if you lived here in California for more then just the food. Its cheep, open late, and above all a good burger. That makes it a perfect hangout for teens with lots of free time and limited money. It’s a good place to go after a late game with the team or midday after school. The shop is almost always packed with teens eating inside all the way till closing everyday. Also since their parents, usually, wouldn’t want to wait at peak times, teens usually had to go themselves which created some demand imo. It becomes great post night out food in your 20s and then an occasional family meal after you settle down. You can’t have it often, because health and/or wait times, but you still like the burger and will pass that onto your kids. Now wrap all of that up in a bit of nostalgia and you’ll understand why we talk about a good burger like it’s the best on the planet.

I feel In-N-Out and Canes have the same issues: their food/meat itself is pretty bad, but their sauces do a lot of heavy lifting to make people like it
