Homemade Tater Tots in the Air Fryer | Simple Healthy Recipe

Today we are making tater tots in the air fryer. This is a very healthy solution to normal tater tots so you can stay healthy and still have a great side. You can use any type of potato for this recipe we just had Yukon gold potatoes when we made it.

You will need to bring a pot of water to a boil and boil the potatoes for 10 minutes. After that take them out of the water and let the cool so you can pick them up. After they are cool use a cheese shredder and shredded them skin in all. Put that into a big mixing bowl and add the following:
1 Tablespoon..... Extra virgin olive oil
1 Tablespoon.... All purpose flower
1 Teaspoon........Chili powder
1 Teaspoon........Cayenne powder
1 Teaspoon........Onion powder
1 Teaspoon........Garlic powder
1 Teaspoon........Kosher salt
1 Teaspoon........Black pepper

Spray the air fryer with Pam spray. Form the potato mixture into small balls. and place in the air fryer. After that is done spray the tater tot balls with Pam spray. Set the temperature to 400 F for 17-20 minutes depending on how crispy you want your homemade tater tots. After they are done cooking you can eat right away.

If you replace the flour with cornstarch you can fry them longer and get a crispy and tater tot without burning them
