Brahmi and Indus Valley Script : Unveiling the Hidden Link

Indus Valley Script is lost to times and we have tried to make sense of it in previous videos. In this video, we will see if Brahmi script, even though there is a missing link of about 1000 years between those, has any connection to Indus valley script.

As we continue our research into the Indus Valley Script, it seems that Brahmi may be connected to it. Brahmi is an early script that evolved out of the Indus Valley Script, and may share certain similarities with it. So in this video, we'll be exploring this connection further and whether or not it's legitimate.

Also, in this video, we sort of see how the script of Harappan Civilization might just be linked to Dravidian languages as well. We see some of the decipherment of Indus script by the use of Tamil.

The evolution of any language has followed an established path, considering how intelligence in communication naturally progresses. Considering that primitive man first developed spoken language and then converted it into a written script using sounds from the spoken language, it appears that Tamil originated as a spoken language first. The Indus Valley Civilization (IVC) shows the early stages of the evolution of a written script from spoken language, using a short form of images. Thus, as the Tamil script was evolving into Tamil Brahmi during the IVC, it later transformed into Ashoka Brahmi, finally branching out into the Indo-European lineage, including Devanagari. IVC people were probably speaking a primitive form of Tamil. It's surprising how these images on the tablets still correlate to present-day Tamil. It seems like the south of India has some hidden secrets about ancient India.

Thank you so much for this. But which is the earliest script along this line? Is it from Altai, Tibet, North of Pakistan, or Southern/Northern Turkey, Syria, Caucuses, Israel (oldest city) or North of the Caucuses or Southern Russian steps. The first three are local, and the last more ancient. But, there is allegations that near the Altai is Agatha like old. I have an interest in tracking the earliest civilisations.

"KA" is another early king, maybe Ra, as in the Kingdom of Ra, which is supposed to cover much of these areas.

Although James Prinsep, on the advice of Indian archaeologists & historians (mostly Brahmins), named this script as Brahmi lipi, as per Asoka's rock edict, the script is called धम्म लिपी.

Earlier it was called as 'Tamil Brahmi' as for a long time researchers thought that it was developed from north to south. But later researchers found that it was much older and hence it is no longer apt to call it as 'Brahmi'. Hence later it is renamed to 'Tamizhi/Tamili'. The Keezhadi excavation also proves this. So kindly correct your words. However it is mysterious how Indus Valley Civilization letters, symbols and art works share more similarities with Tamizhi with such a long distance. Even though the central govt spent a lot in excavating North India over many years for proving that Aryans are natives, they could not fill the gap. Although they concentrate very less on South, we found a lot expanding our history. But the Central Govt is abandoning the expansion of Tamil history. They even abandoned the Keezhadi excavations after finding oldest inscriptions here.

Indus Valley script is Brahmi .Sanskrit and Tamil both were the earliest languages scripts derived from it . Pashupati and Mahishasuramardini seals found in IVC prove that they were Shiva worshippers . Brahmi developed as Sanskrit in the Gangetic plains and as Tamil as it extended to the South . Lanuguagrs and scripts outside India could have similarities . This is because of trade and not because it originated else where . Brahmi is indigenous. So too Sanskrit, Tamil and other Indian languages . The oldest civilisation did not require language and script to be imported .
