When I was 7 (mid 90s), I wanted to ride my dad's favorite ride and my first roller coaster ever: The Rattler at Fiesta Texas. The original, not the newer, smoother, safer hybrid. The original car was a single bench and lap bar for both riders. Well on the first drop, I slid down into the floor of the car and the restraint was just barely across my forehead. My dad pulled me back into the seat and wrapped his arm around me for the rest of the ride. I was so proud and happy to have that moment and memory with my dad. Only when I was older did I hear of the severity of the situation and how I almost died that day.

Once when i was a kid, me and my mom were going to ride a roller and it must have been the scariest thing ive ever done. I was very slim back then, and i was sooo close to falling of. My mom had to act really fast. It was horrible
