I twisted Dean "Dingo" Morrison's arm to get me into the Surf Lakes Wave Pool in Yeppoon. Yes, THAT Mad Max pool that you've probably seen clips of. The pool up in Yeppoon is a test facility and isn't open to the public. This was my experience behind the gates :)

Hello from Sweden! I am a editor, videographer and segment producer working at the Swedish public service television company, for 12 years now. This is very, very good! The handcraft, storytelling, the editing, filming and the interactions with the people. Its so many good layers. Its very hard to do make content for the broad audience that´s, in this case, not surfing but this is so well done so that becomes intersting for everybody. The people you are meeting are amazing and you can feel the connection between you "the TV host" and the "guests" You are genuine, funny and you can almost touch that feeling. Love the ending, feels like when youre having breakfast with the entire lineup från weird waves S1. Also in this harsh world and sometimes egocentric world, we need these films or "shows" to show some kindness and happiness in the world. That we have 1 planet and the best we can do is to share it as a friendly herd. Thank you and the crew for this and hope to see more, this made me smile!

Ha.! I wear the exact same leather hat as old Pete.!
My mum got it for me about 8 years ago & I wear it nearly every day, I liked it so much I bought another but they're so good it's still in the box.
Unfortunately, because I live in the very very wet Scottish Highlands all the metal bits have actually rusted, the wire insert around the brim has disintegrated.!
I definitely don't hold it against it though.
Oh, I have & never will surf, I'm not built for it.. But I definitely do appreciate it.

I grew up in Yeppoon, and am good friends with ol Pete and his family, his kids and me went to school together, , , he used to take his son Ross and us surfing up the beach, up to five rocks and 3 rivers, down to Agnes, and the Pete was also taught to shape boards by Chris Garrett that owned Phantom surfboards on the Gold
