Wave of the Day: Timmy Reyes, Nicaragua Beachbreak Barrel

Hate to say we told you so. But we told you so. Way back on March 24th, April looked busy for Central America and Mexico, so we wrote it up a story, aptly titled April Looks Busy for Central America and Mexico. We’re not sure if Southern Hemi aficionado and California pro Timmy Reyes took our advice, or if he was already there. All we know is he got divinely pitted at Nicaragua’s marquee beachbreak, Colorados.

“I’ve been in Central America for the past few weeks,” Timmy told us. “We’ve had a couple of south swells, but this one has been the most significant one so far. The swell came in early in the morning with some strong offshore wind. I could tell the swell was delayed, though, by some of the double-ups coming through the lineup.”
